Catstrand Artist-in-Residence Chris Dooks is also a composer and PhD student, based in Ayr.

Part-talk, part desert-island-discs and over a relaxed and informal evening, Chris will play a variety of vinyl records, from 100 year old 78s to cutting-edge contemporary vinyl and speak about the resurgence of the vinyl format amongst musicians, fans and visual artists.

Childrens’ Records, Spoken Word, Early Electronic Music, Soundtracks, Neo-Classical, Neo-Folk, Private Press, Drone, Kosmische, Electronica, Ambient – become acquainted with these genres over a highly eclectic evening and discover the record that Chris paid £100 for!

Artivistes 12 at the Musee de Montparnasse


Ben Parry, UWS doctoral researcher and editor of Jump Ship Rat's new publication Cultural Hijack: Rethinking Intervention, is presenting work as part of this exhibition on street art at the Musée de Montparnasse in Paris, from 21st - 30th June.
